Margarita’s Mexican Grill & Cantina and the Philippi Laundry are the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce Members of the Month for September.
Pictured from left are Mike Harper, Manager of the Philippi Laundry, owner John Mosesso, and Mauricio and Jody Jimenez, Managers of Margarita’s Restaurant in Philippi.
The Jimenez family says, “If you’re in the mood for great food paired with laughter, Margarita’s is a must on your next trip to Philippi. Our family atmosphere is inviting and warm. We try to serve food that bursts with flavor and there is no better compliment than to hear, ‘The food was wonderful! We’ll be back!’, or ‘I’ve told everyone I know about you guys!’ We offer a full bar including imported Mexican beers, margaritas and daiquiris, and we have a fantastic food menu including combos and vegetarian meals. It it’s not there, or you like it a certain way, we’ll modify it the best we can to make you happy! Come, check us out!”
Margarita’s has a 20-plus year history of cooking and serving Mexican cuisine. Jody Jimenez has spent more than two years working with her husband in the Mexican food business following her ten years with the Harrison County Board of Education. The restaurant is located at 77 North Main Street in Philippi, telephone (304) 457-5050. They are also on Facebook.
Mike Harper has managed the Philippi Laundry for over ten years. Philippi’s only laundromat, established in 1996, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and contains a change machine and soft and fabric-softener dispensers. Harper prides himself in providing a clean, affordable, and centrally-located facility to meet the laundry needs of the local population. The Philippi Laundry is located on Walnut Street in Philippi directly behind the Barbour County courthouse and next door to the recently-opened Angel’s Arsenal.
