Carla Skidmore, right, Branch Manager and Loan Officer for the Philippi branch of Freedom Bank, received the Directors Special Award from Chamber President Hunter Mullens during the recent annual banquet meeting of the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce.
The award, in the form of an engraved Alderwood plaque, was presented to Skidmore for her outstanding service to the community.
Mullens said, “Carla treats everyone with kindness, whether they are professionals or elderly persons in need of assistance. Her pleasant approach has made our community a better place. She works tirelessly to assist businesses with the Paycheck Protection Program to help keep local businesses running during the pandemic. Barbour County is a better place because of her,” he said.
